What is TVRC?
Tyne Valley Rifle Club is a target shooting club in North East England. The club is currently the full-bore section of Mayfair Shooting Centre in Sunderland and is in the process of becoming a separate club with our own Home Office approval and NRA affiliation.
Where are we?
The club shoots at the Ministry of Defence outdoor ranges at Ponteland and, from time to time, at Otterburn training estate. These ranges offer our members the opportunity to shoot at distances from 100 yards to almost 1,000 yards.
What firearms can you shoot?
Our members are able to shoot a wide variety of firearms; from 16th Century muzzle-loaders to todays’ ultra-modern target and tactical rifles and pretty much everything in between. If it’s legal to possess on a Firearm Certificate then you can probably shoot it with us!
Do you sell firearms and ammunition to members?
We have ammunition for use in club guns on range days. We do not make retail sales to FAC holders at the range.
The club does not sell firearms apart from when occasionally disposing of club rifles – members will be given first refusal.
For firearms and ammunition sales please see our Mayfair Shooting Centre website here.
